Ladies and gentlemen, start your courtroom drama engines, because the crypto showdown of the century is here. The U.S. is squaring off against none other than Sam Bankman-Fried, the mastermind behind the FTX saga. He's not in for a casual chat; he's got a whopping seven charges hanging over his head, including some heavy-hitters like fraud and money laundering. If things go south, he could be looking at a cozy century-long stay behind bars at the “Ritz Correctional”

Day 1 frankly was a bit of a dud, there was no action to speak of, no fiery cross examinations, no dramatic witnesses, and no objections. Day 1 was all about "jury selection."YAAAAAWWWWNNNNNN" They needed to find 18 jurors - 12 starters and 6 subs, just in case someone goes MIA.

Did they pick anyone? Nope, not yet. The whole process got to a late start, not starting off til 11 a.m and before you know it, it was lunch time!

And of course, some of the potential jurors already knew about the case, so they got the boot!

Out of roughly 80 people, they whittled it down to about 50. The judge promised to make the final call today, so we're all on the edge of our seats to see who makes the cut.

The only interesting thing about Day 1, is we got a glimpse of the SBF’s new look and it's all in the hair. Sam strutted into court looking like he just stepped out of a day time makeover shows!

Rumor has it that Sam got a fresh fade from a fellow inmate before his big day. Talk about resourcefulness.

All eyes are locked on on today - Day 2, where we're expecting some real action: jury selection wraps up, both sides drop their opening statements, and the first batch of witnesses steps into the spotlight. So, grab the popcorn, because things are about to get interesting.
